Utada Hikaru SINGLE COLLECTION VOL.1 is Utada Hikaru’s first compilation album. Songs were digitally remastered for the album, and are set out chronologically. This album reached #1 on Oricon charts and remained there for five non-consecutive weeks. It also was the third album by an Asian artist to reach #1 on global charts (and stayed on the charts for six weeks). For the final global charts of 2004, this album reached to #28. The album is also listed on world charts as being the #6 album in terms of first week sales (which totalled 1,403,102 copies). This album became the #1 album of 2004 in Japan. It sold 4,607 copies in Korea. The singles collection ‘royal design’ front cover was carried over with the Korean EMI release of 1998-2005 All For You: UH Premium Single Box Set. On the 2010.11.26 the album returned in the chart, peaked at #24, then it dropped to #26 on 2010.11.27. On 2010.11.28, it dropped to #28. On 2014.03.31 the album peaked #295 on Weekly Album Charts. By 2014 March 31st, ten years after its release, the album has sold 2,609,362 copies in Japan according to Oricon Album Charts.
